Google has changed some major API for security functionality in Android 4.2. Because of that change the heytv unlocker feature could not be used. With the update 1.2.1 this issues was fixed.
At the moment there are no plans to enhance the heytv application. Elgato offers its own app eyetv for some month and has announced the new product “netstream 4sat”. This new product is not supported by heytv because of different technologies behind.
The following players should work fine with heytv:
- BSPlayer free
- VPlayer
If you have problems to start the video stream please start the player app one time separately. Sometimes there are announcements by the app which have been clicked by the user.
