The newest version of the Adele tool for data analyzing comes with an export feature to save data in a desktop database. This can be useful to save the work in analyzing data into a reusable and fast file format – a desktop database like SQLite or MS Access (if the driver UCanaccess is found).

Ich habe mich entschieden, ADELE beim OSBAR dem OpenSource Business Award anzumelden. Einer der Hauptgründe war, dass ich nach über zwei Jahren Entwicklungszeit für mich wissen möchte, ob der privat getragene Entwicklungsaufwand gerechtfertigt ist.

The last versions comes with some useful visualization features. The graph engine was already included and used for the basket analysis. But now the graph universe can be displayed in a graphical way.
ADELE is a Java based tool for data analysis and comes with an SAP integration for exporting SAP data into ADELE. This is already published and known.
Starting from version 0.31.x data can be exported to SAP too. Export and import of data use RFC-enabled function modules with a very simple interface. Even ABAP newbies can implement this in minutes.
Six months after my last post Adele has reached version 0.29.1. The last releases added very useful import features. See the new OData client features by using the builtin example the microsoft northwind database.The import functionality was enhanced to import complex files like MS Excel, JSON/XML or others.
The new Adele version is ready for download at the sourceforge project site. The last version 0.23.0 is the first portable version. This means Adele runs from the USB stick via the PortableApps.com framework.

The next versions (0.12.*) of Adele are ready to download at sourceforge. The main feature of this version is a builtin graph engine. At the moment the basket analysis is using and improving this engine. Later other calulations and visualizations can use this engine to speedup the calculation process.
