Adele Version 0.37.0 available – Export data to desktop database

The newest version of the Adele tool for data analyzing comes with an export feature to save data in a desktop database. This can be useful to save the work in analyzing data into a reusable and fast file format – a desktop database like SQLite or MS Access (if the driver UCanaccess is found).

ADELE tool now with import option for RSS feeds and Email postboxes

The current versions of the ADELE tool (see the project site) brings some new import options. Now RSS feeds and Emails can be imported to ADELE. See the new Video at Youtube to see how the RSS feed import can be used together with the wordcloud visualization.

OSBAR OpenSource Business Award 2016

Ich habe mich entschieden, ADELE beim OSBAR dem OpenSource Business Award anzumelden. Einer der Hauptgründe war, dass ich nach über zwei Jahren Entwicklungszeit für mich wissen möchte, ob der privat getragene Entwicklungsaufwand gerechtfertigt ist.

Außerdem war es Zeit, sich mal einer breiteren Öffentlichkeit zu stellen und Bestätigung oder auch Unverständnis zu bekommen. Die Jury klang vielversprechend. Der Heise Verlag stellt beispielsweise Jury Mitglieder.

The last versions comes with some useful visualization features. The graph engine was already included and used for the basket analysis. But now the graph universe can be displayed in a graphical way.

SAP Integration Guide for Adele available

ADELE is a Java based tool for data analysis and comes with an SAP integration for exporting SAP data into ADELE. This is already published and known.

Starting from version 0.31.x data can be exported to SAP too. Export and import of data use RFC-enabled function modules with a very simple interface. Even ABAP newbies can implement this in minutes.

Adele now with useful import features: OData, MS Excel, JSON

Six months after my last post Adele has reached version 0.29.1. The last releases added very useful import features. See the new OData client features by using the builtin example the microsoft northwind database.The import functionality was enhanced to import complex files like MS Excel, JSON/XML or others.

New Adele version is portable now and supports the WEKA ARFF file format

The new Adele version is ready for download at the sourceforge project site. The last version 0.23.0 is the first portable version. This means Adele runs from the USB stick via the PortableApps.com framework.

The ARFF format is like a standard for data mining programs like WEKA, KNIME or RapidMiner.

Big data analysis for desktop with Adele – next level reached

The fresh version 0.15.x is available for download at the sourceforge project site. Some very important features are now “stable” to handle big data in the daily (desktop) business. Big data in this context means “too big for excel”…

For example a basket analysis was executed in a productive scenario with a input file size >700MB. Other features will help you to understand and analyze the data in a very efficient way.

Adele 0.12.* comes with a builtin graph engine

The next versions (0.12.*) of Adele are ready to download at sourceforge. The main feature of this version is a builtin graph engine. At the moment the basket analysis is using and improving this engine. Later other calulations and visualizations can use this engine to speedup the calculation process.
