Was steckt hinter dem Hype “Digitale Transformation”? – Erkenntnisse und Informationen vom DSAG Jahreskongress

Gestern ist der DSAG Jahreskongress 2016 in Nürnberg zuende gegangen. Die DSAG ist die weltgrößte Anwendervereinigung der SAP und der jährliche Jahreskongress das jährliche Highlight.

Mit ca. 4500 Besuchern aus den deutschsprachigen Ländern (D-A-CH) wurde wieder einmal ein Rekord gebrochen und allein die Zahl ist für einen geschlossenen Kongress beeindruckend. Auch in den sozialen Medien war dieser Jahreskongress zu spüren (z.B. bei Twitter unter dem Hashtag #dsagjk16).

Dieses Jahr stand der Kongress unter dem Titel “Business Transformation  – aus der Steckdose?”. In diesem Blog will ich versuchen, die für mich wichtigsten Erkenntnisse zur “Digitalen Transformation” zusammen zu tragen und vielleicht in eine verständlichere Form zu bringen.

SAP Integration Guide for Adele available

ADELE is a Java based tool for data analysis and comes with an SAP integration for exporting SAP data into ADELE. This is already published and known.

Starting from version 0.31.x data can be exported to SAP too. Export and import of data use RFC-enabled function modules with a very simple interface. Even ABAP newbies can implement this in minutes.

Adele now with useful import features: OData, MS Excel, JSON

Six months after my last post Adele has reached version 0.29.1. The last releases added very useful import features. See the new OData client features by using the builtin example the microsoft northwind database.The import functionality was enhanced to import complex files like MS Excel, JSON/XML or others.

New Adele version is portable now and supports the WEKA ARFF file format

The new Adele version is ready for download at the sourceforge project site. The last version 0.23.0 is the first portable version. This means Adele runs from the USB stick via the PortableApps.com framework.

The ARFF format is like a standard for data mining programs like WEKA, KNIME or RapidMiner.

In einem privaten nicht-kommerziellen Projekt habe ich mich in den letzten zwei Jahren dem Thema Datenanalyse im Alltag gewidmet.Das Ergebnis ist das kostenlose Tool Adele, welches Ihr hier herunter laden könnt. Es läuft unter Windows, Mac und Linux, wenn Java installiert ist. Bei Bedarf sogar vom USB Stick ohne Installation.

Apple – Was macht Ihr da eigentlich?

Nachdem mein Apple MacBook Pro gestern in 2 Stunden 5 mal abgeschmiert ist, fühle ich mich zu diesen Zeilen genötigt. Liebe Apple Kollegen, Eure Softwarequalität ist seit Monaten unterirdisch und kaum noch zu ertragen. Als Windows Umsteiger fühle ich mich an alte Zeiten erinnert. Man muss Microsoft aber eigentlich verteidigen, SO VIELE Probleme hatte ich seit Jahren auch mit Windows (spätestens ab Windows 7) nicht mehr.

Big data analysis for desktop with Adele – next level reached

The fresh version 0.15.x is available for download at the sourceforge project site. Some very important features are now “stable” to handle big data in the daily (desktop) business. Big data in this context means “too big for excel”…

For example a basket analysis was executed in a productive scenario with a input file size >700MB. Other features will help you to understand and analyze the data in a very efficient way.

Adele 0.12.* comes with a builtin graph engine

The next versions (0.12.*) of Adele are ready to download at sourceforge. The main feature of this version is a builtin graph engine. At the moment the basket analysis is using and improving this engine. Later other calulations and visualizations can use this engine to speedup the calculation process.

Das Intranet im Smarthome – Installation Intrexx auf dem ARM

In diesem Blog wird beschrieben, wie man die Enterprise Portal Software Intrexx auf einem stromsparenden ARM Rechner installieren und damit alle Vorteile eines Intranet Portals auch im eigenen Heim nutzen kann. Es ist eine eher technische Dokumentation für Personen, denen eine Kommandozeile nicht fremd ist und die auch vor einer Linuxinstallation nicht zurück schrecken. Zuvor gibt es aber ein paar allgemeine Informationen.

Nach der erfolgreichen Installation können dann beispielsweise einfache Anwendungen wie die Messdatenerfassung von anderen Heimautomatisierungssystemen wie der Homematic CCU2 erstellt und genutzt werden.

Adele Preview 0.10 & 0.11 available

The next two releases of the Adele preview are available at the sourceforge site. There are many small optimizations done. Some of the known features were redesigned and others are really new. One of main new feature is a split view control for checking data after a basket analysis.
